(Vegan) Sweet Blueberry Smoothie

Hello, Beans!

It’s a wonderful sunny day here in Lincolnshire. The sun is out but it’s not roasting yet thankfully. We currently have workmen down our street laying our new road so it’s a little noisy and smelly. I did some calming yoga this morning and a little bit of strength so I felt like a calming smoothie to match for my breakfast. What ways do you calm yourselves down? With food, exercise, a nice walk? Let me know! This is my recipe for a yummy sweet blueberry smoothie. Very delicious and my favourite colour for a smoothie.  Enjoy!

Ingredients

250ml Plant-Based Milk
1/2 a Medium Frozen Banana
1/2 cup Frozen Blueberries
1/4 – 1/3 Cup Frozen Raspberries
1tbsp Rolled Oats
1tbsp Golden Syrup/ Maple Syrup
Toppings of your choosing (Optional) – I used desiccated coconut, cashews, raspberries and blueberries.

This smoothie is such a beautiful colour. Almost too good to drink! Using my tracker app this came to 300 calories so it’s a small amount but not too small that it won’t fill you up until lunchtime if you choose. Most of the time I like to use Milk and Oats in all my breakfast smoothies. Oats to make it a little more filling and Milk for the nutrient values.
