After posting a picture of this deliciousness on my Instagram this morning I thought it was only fair to share the recipe after it was received so well. This recipe is both simple and quick to make. Avocados are very healthy and packed full of goodness. I like to add oats to my smoothies to fill them up a bit. Of course, you can’t go wrong with chocolate either 🙂 With the creaminess of the avo and the yumminess of the chocolate, this would make a wonderful chocolate avocado mousse if you use less milk to make the mix thicker.
1 Frozen Banana
1tbsp Rolled Oats
2tbsp Cocoa powder
1tsp Golden/Maple syrup
Plant based milk to fill
As per usual place, all your ingredients in a blender and whizz it up! If you have a lower speed blender then you may need to whizz the dates separately before adding the rest of the ingredients. As per usual have some fun with the recipe. You could add lots of other chocolate delights or even a bit of spinach.
I topped my smoothie with a sprinkle of cocoa powder and some cocoa nibs. So good and creamy. I also felt guilty about having it first thing in the morning.
