Protein balls are a great thing to have in your fridge or freezer. They are great for breakfast, a side or a snack. The combination of flavors in these protein balls makes them super healthy and filling. They taste sweet and fruity. You could add coconut, more peanut butter, lemon juice. The options are endless.
Best of all it makes so many servings and yet only takes a short time to make which makes them a great snack to always make sure you have in the freezer. Great for on the go or in emergency snack situations.

Tumeric & Chia Seed Protein Balls
- 200 g Rolled Oats
- 4 Tbsp Chia Seeds
- 2 Tbsp Cocoa powder
- 2 Figs
- 50 g Raisins
- 6 Dates
- 1/2 Tbsp Tumeric
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 7 tbsp Golden Syrup or Agave
- 1/2 Tbsp Peanut butter optional
In a blender add all but your syrup and turmeric. Blend until it makes a fine crumb.
Once you have this mixture place it in a bowl. Mix in your turmeric and then start adding in your syrup. I would add a little at a time to make it easier to mix equally.
The mixture should be very sticky and hold it’s shape.
Now all you need to do is mould them in your hands to make balls.
Once you’ve moulded them all just pop them in the fridge or freezer. For freshness, it’s best to pop them in the freezer and grab them out as you want them as they only take 30 minutes to defrost.
They will keep in the freezer for several months or the fridge for a week.
