This morning, as I was checking my facebook one of my memories from 4 years ago, a pretty nail art design showed up in the memories.
It prompted me to do a similar design on my nails this morning and I forgot how much I love doing nail art. It used to be a huge hobby of mine and I must say I got pretty good at it. For whatever reason, though I stopped.
These are some pictures of my favourite nail art design from my past:
As you can see my style was very differential depending on my mood on that day. They also took varying amounts of time. The tic tac toe design took about 30 minutes where as the south park characters or Gangnam style nails easily took around 3 hours.
This is the design I did today on a whim. Just a simple ombre inspired by my new hair. FYI if you would like to see what I did with my hair I’ve put a DIY post here or if you would prefer you can see my hair dye timeline for all my rainbow trends.
It’s one of those hobbies that I really enjoyed doing and for some reason or another, it just seemed to disappear, Then, later on down the line you remember it and wonder why you ever stopped. MY album of my nail designs has around 100 designs in there and I think I am tempted to start working my way through my old designs. Almost like a before and after series that I can pop on the website as a section or maybe as blog entries with specific tags.
I think it will be a good thing for me to venture into. I love creative pursuits, I also do my writing, painting and bullet journal. This has a different side of creativity that I think will be good for my mental health.
Would love to know what everyone thinks. Do you have any hobbies that you have lost touch with over recent years? Let me know!
